Went to the doctor today to see what’s going on with my back and neck. Looks like I cracked a rib and just tweaked everything else. I guess that’s been that pain that’s been going on. I was surfing earlier this week when it was really going off bro. An hour into the killer session I decided to get slammed onto my neck in the knee deep water. When I surfaced there was a weird ringing noise going on and I couldn’t breath or move. Radical!

It was such a cool feeling. Maybe give it a try one these days. Way better then coming out of the epic green room.

Go surf by yourself when the tide is at it’s lowest point for the day. Get pitched onto your head in the sand and slowly float to the beach helplessly. Lay there for a while like a dying beached seal, then drive home and contemplate how you will get the wetsuit off.

Two friends and myself had just spent a little over 5 weeks in the back of my friends Toyota pickup cruising around Washington and Oregon skating new shit. Five weeks later, no money left and a very generous driver friend burnt and over it kicked us to the curb at the Ballard skatepark.

It wasn’t like we were completely abandoned. We Knew Fat Chris lived in Ballard and figured we could stay with him. We called him up and it was on. So while we were waiting at the park for Chris to finish up at work tattooing a Unicorn on a gay midget’s ass I saw Jesse doing these rad backside airs/methods. Whatever you prefer to call it.

Do you see how his board is perfectly upside down? I like that. I figured I should take a photo of it…. Not too many people got em like that. And it wasn’t like I was doing much of anything. Just drinking Ham’s cans, eating Top Roman and playing s-k-a-t-e with the local little punk ass kids….. This is Jesse Nelson and he’s doing a method at the park in Ballard, Washington.
