French Bull dog, Oceanside, California: I was out one day with Scotty Keller trying to shoot some street stuff around O’side when I saw this dog. What’s funny is the dog is actually watching Scotty ollie over the fire hydrant in the photo below.

Scotty Keller, fire hydrant ollie: Like I just said. Scotty called me up one day and wanted to shoot something in the Oceanside streets. Hyped on jumping over this fire hydrant, Scotty ollied it with no problem. I was hyped on the dog watching. Where you at Sketchy Keller?

Juan, stalefish at the turd tumbler, North County San Deigo: Juan with a fatty to flatty. Wasn’t really expecting this. I thought Juan was joking around when he said he wanted to do a stalefish at the turd tumbler. Well as you can see, he wasn’t kidding.

John Hargis, hip grind, Vista, California: Spit gutter coping is weird to grind. With no resistance and no lip the stuff sketches me out. Skating in sunglasses is pretty lame, but this day you could of definitely used them. Shit was bright and hot as hell. Real life garbage pail kid JC, grinds the hip before going to work to tattoo tribal flame arm bands on Marines.

Chucky Jones, crooked grind, Oceanside, California: I remember this day very well. Why? because I was super hungover and Chucky called me at least 10 times this day before I finally picked up. Luckily this spot is right down the street from my house so I figured I better go then be a little bitch and complain about my head hurting… So I was getting out the flashes and all that fun stuff when Chucky went and just did this crooked grind first try and that was that. The pigs rolled by a couple minutes later and we were kicked out. Luckily I had the camera just sitting there next to me with the 50mm lens on and was able to get a photo.

Kyle Gallahger, Orange County, California: Stopping for a road soda pee pee break on the way to one of the lame Orange county skate parks that we only go to because they are lit up at night, kyle spotted this pole jam and it was a go. Too bad this pole next to a trash bin in a shopping mall parking lot is better than the majority of the features of the near by skate parks.

San Diego Zoo: Yeah, these creatures that aren’t related to humans what so ever are pretty smart. They put their sticks into these holes and wait for the ants to load up on it. After that they got a meal to grub down on. Pretty cool to watch, but come on….. we’re special, we’re humans…..

My dog, Ollie: The best dog ever! Of course right? Every one’s dog is the best dog. But seriously, Ollie is one of a kind.

Fred Tiblin, Mammoth lakes, California: Old friend Fred doing a lipslide at the Wave Rave mini ramp. Every Spring this park would be constructed and then torn down in the Fall. Now the town has a Grindline park. And people still complain. Go figure….

Sperm, Firepools, San Bernardino, California: Such a ridiculous amount of pools to skate when those fires destroyed alot of homes in San Bernardino a few years back. I remember someone telling me to be careful because that’s “Salba land”. Gimme a fucking break! Here’s Sperm with a tail block .

JC Hargis, Pala pool: I remember when this pool used to be fun to skate. I mean, we actually used to look forward to skating it instead of dreading the goon parties. We used to light it up once a week usually on Wednesday’s night and it was great. Super low key, just a few friends and a few hours of some grinds and laughs……. Listen to me getting all sentimental about the pala pool. Then it just got blown out so hard……Random kooks coming to just hang out and poach beers and stand on the deck. I begun to despise this place. Hate on me all you want, But I was and still am stoked this pool is buried…….

Prince Foreskin, aka Richie Lipz, aka King of Dickville, aka Luke Girling: Don’t even know when I took this photo. I’m guessing this was a few years ago probably around 7 pm. Luke’s old standard operation. Actually what am I talking about? This could of been taken last week. Shit, maybe last night……

Backyard mini amoeba… Being mini you might think it would be easier to skate. Not a chance. But then again I like these kind, cause your not disappointed when you leave that you didn’t even get a grind.

Where’s the prizzy?

This is pretty much my favorite camera to use that I own. I picked it up at a flea market in Beijing China a few years ago right next to a human skull. -that’s another story in it’s self. Anyways all this camera is is just a simple all manual 120 format camera. Most of the pictures come out pretty random do to it not having any light meter. Plus the bellows have cracks in them so it leaks light pretty bad. Especially in broad day light. It’s kind of a bitter sweet relationship with this thing. I pretty much never know what I will get. Sometimes that’s cool and it works out but at the same time I have missed a few amazing photos as well. Regardless I like the randomness and gamble this thing offers… Hate them or love them the photos below had no photo-shop art fag manipulation done to them. Straight from the camera. As my friend Luke might say; their organic. Damn, that sounds pretty lame.

Kind of

Walked around this frozen lake for a while after going to the Forbidden city. Friend Sandra bumped into this stupid toy in this store and had to buy it. Watched a guy try to snag fish with a piece of fishing string and a treble hook. The sunset was ridiculous.

Stayed in a spot in Beijing where they haven’t really seen “the white man” in person too much. People would just come up to you and examine you.

This is where we stayed for the 11 days or so for 90 bucks American for a 2 bedroom….. I’m not complaining it’s not the Holiday Inn.

The local Grocery store we went to everyday. This place was insane. Live baby turtles, goat heads you name it. The Chinese know how to eat!

They had an insane deal on pigs feet!

Vegetarian?

Picky about what you eat? Then don’t ever bother traveling to China. Stay where you feel comfortable like in Hawaii or Cabo and relax. Your on vacation!

This was out of control. This guy was skinning frogs and throwing their skins into that bowl. Afterwards he would throw the frogs back into the tank and they would swim around skinless for a while. Seen some 200 year old lady buy a big bag of these frogs. Must be good for something.

We left Burnside to go check out some street stuff around town. Pete was trying to to do a front side fifty fifty on this rail when it just stuck out of no where. The photo looks worst then the out come. Some how Peter managed to get out of this one pretty unscathed. He actually pulled it after this slam.  Oh and of course I fucked up the make….
