My last blog, which entailed my crew’s rained out journey to D.C. to shoot and maybe even compete in the Convoy Skateboards Ten Stair Challenge did not actually feature any of the contest because well it rained. With soggy shoes and a heavy heart we returned home thinking that no skateboardrev hype would be brought to the contest and our collective quest for interweb domination would be ruined. The guys at Convoy however were nice enough to keep some skateboardrev.com hype alive, by putting up a banner for us, giving some shout outs, and even giving away some stickers I left with them. The Contest went down on November first and here are some photo’s and the results from the event. Congrats to the winners and I hope you spent that cash well!
Intermediate:
1st place- Imoh
2nd place- Kevin Tomlinson
3rd place- Ryan Herron
Advanced:
1st place- Manny Law
2nd place- Rob Fall
3rd place- Jonas Durney
-Skateboardrev.com repping hard!
-Kevin Ha, kickflips the ten stack, he also double flipped them… go figure.
- Little Imoh stepping to a backside 50-50
-Someday a skatepark will put a foam pit at the bottom of their stairs to avoid Imoh’s “uh-oh”
-The stairs, skater free.
- Jonas Durney getting his feeble to back 50-50 on and landing in third place.
-Waiting to catch that stuntboard
-5-0 down that there hubba.
-Eric Johnson gets rowdy with a fs willy grind down the rail… that’s confusing.
-Flippy spinny!
-Eamonn from Convoy getting all official on the mic. I think he’s saying see you next year.
The video for this event is available on youtube and it’s definitely worth a watch. So check out all the action from Convoy’s Ten Stair Challenge from Adam Turrisi HERE, and then ask yourself why you thought you were too cool to go.
