Decided to get out of Oceanside for a few days to visit my friend Brendan but didn’t feel like driving. Especially didn’t feel like sitting in Friday afternoon LA traffic. So I took the train. If you don’t know the  Metrolink is the shit. Oceanside to Central Station in Los Angeles  cost $10.25. You cant beat that. $20.50 for a round trip. I would of spent more then double that if I drove the Exploader. (that’s my car, a 1994 Ford Explorer that is ready to blow up. It already blew up once and lately I’ve been noticing it’s ready for more. But, yeah the train is rad…

Pretty much had the train to myself. Until….

This guy. Oh man, I cant stand this guy. No one else really on the train and then here comes this guy. He decided to sit next to me on the Phone for over an hour flapping aimlessly to get the time to go by. It drives me crazy. Your in public! It’s so annoying, you cant help but listen to his worthless conversation. Especially since I don’t own one of those Ipod things or a phone that plays everything known to man. I was stoked when his stop was up in Fullerton. Finally some peace and quite.

Made it to Central station. Brendan picked me up.  We drank a couple beers at his house got motafaded and decided to hit the local skateparks.

Park had a pretty fun amoeba. Too bad we showed up at the perfect time of the day when the sun blinds you and scares the shit out of you. Or maybe that’s just me.

Nothing amazing but at the same time really fun.

Before we left I had to get a photo of Jah faken ledges! Off to the next park. Locals hooked me up with a hot tamale off the roach coach.  Yummy!

The next park we hit wasn’t so good. Or maybe my buzz was wearing off.

Nah, it wasn’t the buzz wearing off. The place was just a buzz kill. Not really but just not that great. But all the same fun. I can have fun skating anything. But I can bitch and moan with the best of them about how it could be oh so better.

Brendan’s neighborhood has some cool looking trees. Or maybe that’s just the mushrooms kicking in.

So after skating a couple parks we went back to Brendan’s house and ended up walking down the street to his local watering hole.

Pretty much ended the night kind of seeing like this. Made it back to Brendan’s just in time for the diverticulitis to kick in and that was that. Caught the train home in the morning and had mud butt the whole way home. People were laughing at me going into the restroom for the 5th time… Catch the train. Go ride some shitty parks and have a really fun time.  Have a good week. -Brooks
