Unlike your standard mall shop or surf shop where the workers dont know jack shit about skating these guys actually do. It might have to do with that they are skateboarders first, business owners second.

Owned and operated by Justin Hindery and Mike Mccarley  are two humble dudes who aren’t trying to come up with some big scheme or get rich quick act. They are just trying to keep the dream alive. What dream is that? If you cant figure out by now then I dont know what to tell you. Lakes are a important necessity to any road trip. Especially a skate one. In a few days with out a rinse you end up with swamp butt and trench foot. Up in Washington the lakes are plentiful so that kinda shit doesn’t happen.

Damn, two weeks in a row of Potato head getting denied on tricks. I remember this day. It was hot as hell. Trying to   at the bottom of the handrail with the fish eye like everyone else wasn’t happening. Asphalt would just scorch you. I really could of used the Atiba Jefferson signature photo blanky.

So why would they throw a fit over us skateboarding the tree? They dont. Unlike the uptight rich white folk in Leucadia that have nothing better to do then get in your business because your doing something that is illegal. Yes skateboarding is illegal.

Across the street at the bar Bub’s Whiskey dive (that doesn’t serve whiskey) (makes sense right?)  having a couple pitchers of beer Scotty was hyping up this ollie. We finished our beers and went over to the set and Scotty got a couple of tries before the cities finest stopped us.

Scotty rips everything. Who else ollies down a 11 stair with 61mm wheels and a 8 1/2 wide deck.

Don’t you know you cant skateboard on public property in Oceanside? What’s funny is these piggies are about the same age as me and Scotty but have no clue about enjoying life. They cant figure it out why we still skateboard. That was the best quote all day. You guys are still riding those toys? Too funny. Luckily Scotty gave them bogus info and didn’t get a ticket. So after we were rolled for illegal activities we went and did something legal. Getting Blitzed in the bar. God bless America.

Another north west trip? You better believe it. What? You don’t like it up there in the land of concrete and trees? Everyone talks about taking trips to California. Well if you didn’t know it sucks balls here…. Skate park wise at least. But I guess we do have great weather. Weeeeeeeeeeee! Sun shine! But if your looking for something other than nice weather. I suggest heading to the North West. And for all you North West protectors crying right now. Dont worry. Your scene is already blown out….  Here’s the first part of maybe three of the Oceanside chapter north west TERROR tour….

The run up is rough as fuck. Most people would give up after a couple tries. Luckily for me Jamie pulled it within a few tries before my beer got warm.
