I literally have +40 rolls of medium format film that needs to be scanned. Let alone the 30+ rolls of 35mm. Pretty much I’m a dumb ass. I love shooting film, especially 120 but it gets exspensive and I don’t own a scanner. So I have just been building up this stock pile of film. Pretty stupid right? It is. But at the same time it’s not. So the other day I figured it out and borrowed my dad’s flatbed scanner that has a mount for scanning film. And now what? I’m finding photo’s I completely forgot about. And that for me was one of the main reason to start taking photos. Photos only get better with age. And sometimes what you think might be garbage actually becomes a priceless possession. Now don’t get me wrong. I’m not putting down digital. I’m just saying there is something really special about being able to hold and feel film.. And if you don’t know what that’s  like because you only know compact flash cards then I recommend a disposable camera. Or a Holga. You cant imagine how much fun the basics are. Or maybe you do and all I am doing is flapping.

Rick had a ramp. It used to be great. Then the neighbors bitched about it so much that he had to tear it down. The neighbors probably thought that was the end of that, but it wasn’t. Rick, being a smart guy went down to city hall and figured out what he had to do to have a ramp in his yard legally. (yeah, you can do that) So he got his permit and built a smaller ramp. That was that and the ramp was pretty fun. Just your standard 12 ft wide mini ramp. Then a few weeks ago I was informed by the infamous Beer Beagle that he was going to put corners on it. You wouldn’t believe how much of a difference a couple corners can make. Or maybe you can. I don’t know. I don’t know if you like to turn on your skateboard or not. Maybe your trucks are so tight you never even thought about turning. I’m just trying to make a point on how much better rounds walls are compared to just going back and forth. That actually gets me thinking. You ever watch those “soul bowl” competitions? I would always get so frustrated watching those things because they would have this huge bowl yet almost everyone would skate it back and fourth pretty much never even touching the corners. Talk about jocking out… Well enough of that. Here’s some photos from yesterdays afternoon session at Rick’s ramp with Kyle Galahger, David Presley and Bart Steed.

The neighbors also love to blast the worst music when anyone tries to skate.

Another north west trip? You better believe it. What? You don’t like it up there in the land of concrete and trees? Everyone talks about taking trips to California. Well if you didn’t know it sucks balls here…. Skate park wise at least. But I guess we do have great weather. Weeeeeeeeeeee! Sun shine! But if your looking for something other than nice weather. I suggest heading to the North West. And for all you North West protectors crying right now. Dont worry. WU WELLER: From one bridge to another straight off the airplane and we headed straight to Burnside to meet up with Portland chapter member Jamie Weller. Here he is demonstrating a proper low to high free lunch ollie.

RYAN WILLIAMS: Ryan was hungry for some free lunch and got in on the meal himself. This is not just a flying butt shot. It’s also a lien air.

JAMIE WELLER: yeah I know, you probably all ready seen this photo before. I’m just going with the flow and putting the photos in the order they were taken. Blunt to fakie on this is no joke. The run up is rough as fuck. Most people would give up after a couple tries. Luckily for me Jamie pulled it within a few tries before my beer got warm.

SPERM ART: After a full day under the bridge we headed back to Jamie’s house. This is Sperms gift to Davey. Who says board graphics suck these days?

So my daughter has been sick. It was my wife’s birthday last week and she has been sick too. My dog had a tumor in her mouth and had to have surgery this past Monday. Luckily it wasn’t cancerous and just expensive as hell. I’m pretty sure I cracked a rib trying to do a  dumb stand up backside 50/50 grind around the boomerang at the new Oceanside park with Burnout Burnett last week. I also got broke off farming a good fish the other day as well…  Sorry no story time this week. Instead enjoy some randoms and  rejects. Keep it real even if it’s real shitty.

David Presley, rock N roll, North County San Diego: Another pool you will never skate. Not like you would really want to. Thing was all tile and slippery as hell. Pretty cool looking though.

David Presley, frontside grind, Buttlicker bowl, Riverside, California: We showed up only to find goons having a “pool party.” We drank their keg beer. Pretended to like socializing with the goobers and watched some gay emo punk band play a few hurting songs. Then we Oside dipped. Good times.

Dom Johnson, Front blunt slide, Miramar, San Diego: This spot is more blown out then the ASR. Matt Daughters could probably retire strictly from all the photos he shot & got ran from here. Dominck front blunts just for fun.

Willis Kimmel, Backyard hip grind, Holiday Bowl, San Diego: Speaking of blown out. This pool couldn’t of got any more blown. If you were in San Diego and didn’t skate this pool I dont know what to tell you.

Russel Grundy, Backside Nollie heelflip 180 attempt, San Marcos, California: Poor Russel was sleeping off a long night of partying only to be waken up by the Biz telling him a photographer is in the car waiting. No warm up, straight to the spot we went and Russel just started jumping over this gap trying to nollie back heel it. I felt bad.

Ryan Harris, backside door way tailslide, Orcas Island, Washington: “people” said they didnt like the kid in the photo. Well I do. I hope I get to go there again.

Luke Girling, Backyard backside grind, Angry Negro pool, San Diego: Permission to skate with only the crew. Soon enough it was over. Loose lips sink ships… Thanks a lot fuckers.

Vista Square pool, Vista, California: Another pool that should still be a go. All because of what? Oh yeah you retards didn’t pick up your trash. Ever heard of common sense? Pack out what you pack in dummies. Prince Foreskin and I walked up right before the demo started. It was quite a depressing site.
