Pulled up to this spot and it looked like no one was around. Just a couple local kids playing basketball and us wanting to skate. Actually more like Dominick wanting to skate and me wanting to shoot some photos. Sorry, but those days of jumping down stuff and onto things are way over for me… like I really ever did… well I like to believe I did….. sorry I know. that’s enough.

 Well not even 10 minutes into the “session” a priest came out of the church. Oh yeah I forgot to mention this is at a Church. You didn’t know Jesus has spots too? Well the Priest was not was not having it and said we had to leave.

But with a little negotiating and pleading that this is my “job” and I need to feed a baby bought us 5 minutes more to “get the job done”.

This pool is in the neighborhood I grew up in. I’ve looked at it for 12 years or so and figured it would never happen. Always full. Always clean. Pretty much a lost cause I thought. Still the possibility is always there and this thing is the shizzznit. So you could understant I couldn’t resist checking on it time by time. Neither could some of my friends and finally it happend.

A friend drove by one day and noticed some construction going on in the backyard. Guess the oweners wanted to resurface the pool and put in a new patio. Pefect! A little negotiating with the owner and it was on. We could skate, just as long as we liked that one guy named Jesus.

So we were able to skate it for a few weeks during the construction and it was over. Filled back up and most likely unskateble forever. Those couple of weeks were great……Lurking in South O finally paid off. Thanks Jesus.

Oh yeah, JC (not jesus christ) but John Charles grinds one more time on his lunch break.
