Lakes are a important necessity to any road trip. Especially a skate one. In a few days with out a rinse you end up with swamp butt and trench foot. Up in Washington the lakes are plentiful so that kinda shit doesn’t happen.

Damn, two weeks in a row of Potato head getting denied on tricks. I remember this day. It was hot as hell. Trying to   at the bottom of the handrail with the fish eye like everyone else wasn’t happening. Asphalt would just scorch you. I really could of used the Atiba Jefferson signature photo blanky.

So why would they throw a fit over us skateboarding the tree? They dont. Unlike the uptight rich white folk in Leucadia that have nothing better to do then get in your business because your doing something that is illegal. Yes skateboarding is illegal.

Across the street at the bar Bub’s Whiskey dive (that doesn’t serve whiskey) (makes sense right?)  having a couple pitchers of beer Scotty was hyping up this ollie. We finished our beers and went over to the set and Scotty got a couple of tries before the cities finest stopped us.

Scotty rips everything. Who else ollies down a 11 stair with 61mm wheels and a 8 1/2 wide deck.

Don’t you know you cant skateboard on public property in Oceanside? What’s funny is these piggies are about the same age as me and Scotty but have no clue about enjoying life. They cant figure it out why we still skateboard. That was the best quote all day. You guys are still riding those toys? Too funny. Luckily Scotty gave them bogus info and didn’t get a ticket. So after we were rolled for illegal activities we went and did something legal. Getting Blitzed in the bar. God bless America.

Good ol Oceanside, California

Sorry I didn’t get to travel across the world or go to any carcass hucking skateboard gatherings. Gas is retarded and I’m broke as fuck. So I decided to check out what was going on in my home town. It was definitely not what I am looking for but decided to go see what the masses were doing anyways. I don’t know what my problem is. I’m not that old and I’m not that bitter, but pretty much all I can say is that I’m all about the scene that has no scene. And skateboarding is such a scene… People dressed up looking like pirates and shit. So I guess I am in the wrong business then huh? Being that I was once told by someone that you gotta be a social schmoozing butterfly to make it in this biz. Here’s a Oside Go sk8 day recap.

See that awesome spectacular beautiful resort in the background? Yeah, that’s the reason why the old skate park is no more.

Oside has no where to skate. At least no designated fenced off day care center that’s an excuse for a place to ride a skateboard like most of all the other towns around here have. Here we are outlaws, even in your own backyard if your ramp is over 3ft high. So this year the kids got smart and took go skate day into their own hands and set up some stuff to skate where the old skate park used to be….

Nothing but the finest.

A perfect place for a skate park. Right by the beach in downtown with a nice ocean breeze and it will never happen because the property is too valuable to waste on a worthless activity like skateboarding. It’s not like it’s a way of life. Don’t you know it’s only supposed to be a fad…..

Oceanside Police love skateboarding!

The city of Oceanside has been milking skateboarding since the early 80’s. Their all about having contest down at the band shell but then have the double standard of not allowing skateboarding anywhere. Oceanside has hosted the X Games, the Triple Crown and other contests to make themselves money. Yet Oceanside still does not have a permanente place to skate. In fact it’s straight up illegal to skate in Oceanside. I love my town!

” Carlsbad has a skate park. Why don’t you all go over there and have your little gathering. It’s a excellent facility right next to the Carlsbad Police station. Just remember you helmet, knee pads, elbow pads and wrist guards. You guys would love it, Tony Hawk endorses it! “

So everyone was shut down and ended up 50 ft away at the infamous hubba skating flatland playing s-k-8 and whatnot. Next thing you know I see a hyped up piggy pull out the riot rubber bullet gun and I thought things were going to get interesting. It didn’t and after some negotiating everyone was let back into the old skate zone. I was over it by that time and went and met up with Nate Sherwood.
