After skating Rolling Freedom skate park for a while and jumping in the river we got back on the road and headed north toward our destination: Seattle. Unfortunately We hit some traffic but the smart retards we are had some sodas to keep us occupied. Traffic wasn’t letting up but got word that a town called Kent on the way to Seattle supposedly had a Grindline park and sure enough the town did. Kent is located in the Green River Valley in King County and is recognized as an outlying suburb of the city of Seattle. As you know I love that hippie nature shit and the impressive Mt. Ranier can be seen from the park. Kinda cool.  So, the park is alright. Me being the big pussy I am these days the giant pipe and super bowl with steel coping didn’t really tickle my fancy. I preferred the kidney bean and the decks surrounding the park. Don’t get me wrong, there is a good time to be had here but once again in my eyes the park could be so much better.

After skating Kent we got some ass backwards directions to the lake and we ended up driving around in circles for about 45 minutes. So we bagged going to the lake and headed to straight to the camp site where every one is pro at one thing…

There was no plan really. Just meet at Shrunken Head skates shop on Friday at 9 in the morning and fit who ever could fit in the van for the weekend. Well there kinda was a plan. Drink lots of Shrunk Juice and skate some parks.  A short drive over the huge Columbia River and we were in Washington state in no time. First stop besides the soda shop was the Rolling Freedom Skate park.

Rolling Freedom skate park is right on the water. So if you like those water activities you wont be disappointed. You know, Swimming, fishing, frolicking, etc.. However the skate park on the other hand is just alright. I heard something about that the town had enough money for the bowl but ran out of funds after that. Pretty sure Grindline built the bowl. Anyways someone else had to come in and finish the street course. Which for the most part is nothing special. But it’s pretty hard to complain when the park is right on the freakin water. Yet somehow I managed to complain still. It’s my specialty.

After stretching the legs at Rolling Freedom everyone took a swim in the river and was ready to get back on the road.

First stop after getting back on the road was a piss stop, soda stop and skate spot all in one. They really know how to do it in the North West.

Get in the van. Or bus, or bike. Something. Get in something. Get in where you fit in or something like that. Summers almost over. Who knows maybe your life is almost over. Get out there and enjoy it while it last! -Brooks

More negative scans means more photos. No, I’m not being negative. I mean negatives as in film negatives. Ever hear of them?  Yeah that’s what these following photos are and it’s what you used to load into your camera instead of that sweet memory card. After 12, 24 or 36 exposures you would have to change the roll of film for a new one. And a lot of the times Murphy’s law would happen. What’s Murphy’s Law? It’s when things will go wrong when you expect them to go wrong. What do I mean? I mean when you are sitting there stressing on changing the film as fast as you can for a freshy with out fucking it up and not dealing with a jock who doesn’t wait for “the shot” and just goes and does his trick. Sometimes there just isn’t a second try or a re shoot. Not saying these photos are like that, because if you know me I’m a complete photo goon. I will make you do that backside air over and over until I get what I want. I’ll bribe, I’ll beg, I’ll do what it takes to get “the shot.”Why? because I am the photo goon…

So my daughter has been sick. It was my wife’s birthday last week and she has been sick too. My dog had a tumor in her mouth and had to have surgery this past Monday. Luckily it wasn’t cancerous and just expensive as hell. I’m pretty sure I cracked a rib trying to do a  dumb stand up backside 50/50 grind around the boomerang at the new Oceanside park with Burnout Burnett last week. I also got broke off farming a good fish the other day as well…  Sorry no story time this week. Instead enjoy some randoms and  rejects. Keep it real even if it’s real shitty.
